Dr. Jenny Preunkert- Score: 7.30 The seminar focuses on introducing students to Irish culture/politics/society over the last 50 or so years and framing this in comparison with the German context. The school will involve a mix of in-person teaching, fieldtrips (e.g., walking tour of Dublin, tour of organic farm) and volunteer social events (e.g., campus tour). Substantive topics covered include health, housing, migration and labour markets, with a special focus on understanding inequalities in comparative and international perspective. Classes will involve a mix of short lectures and breakout groups, where students will have the opportunity to discuss the application of theoretical material to empirical case studies. Dr. Frank Pointner- Score: 5.72 to contrast the phoneme inventory of the foreign tongue with that of one's mother tongue in order to be able to "hear with a foreign ear" and thus speak with a foreign tongue. The lecture will focus on the theoretical issues one needs to tackle in order to be able to transcribe British and American English phonologically and, to some extent, phonetically. In addition to the lecture students will have to attend one of the tutorials where they will extensively practice to transcribe English texts. The registration for the tutorials will take place in the first session of the lecture.

Matthias Plenkmann- Score: 4.50 Printmaking Forever – Summer School Letterpress Printmaking Forever - Letterpress Seit März 2018 sind die künstlerischen Drucktechniken des Hochdrucks, Tiefdrucks, Flachdrucks, Durchdrucks und deren Mischformen, nach Beschluss der Deutschen UNESCO-Kommission in das bundesweite Verzeichnis des Immateriellen Kulturerbes aufgenommen worden, um diese zu pflegen und weiterzuentwickeln. In diesem Lichte steht Printmaking Forever — Summer School , ein Projekt das erstmals zwischen den Druckgrafischen Werkstätten der FH Dortmund und der Universität Duisburg-Essen stattfinden wird. Ziel der fünftägigen Summer School ist es, die große Vielfalt druckgrafischer Verfahren und ihrer einzigartigen Möglichkeiten zu erfahren. Gleichzeitig werden Workshops im Hochdruck, Tiefdruck, Siebdruck, der Risographie und im Letterpress stattfinden. 30 Studierende Werkstätten fester Bestandteil der Intensivwoche. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt der Summer School liegt darauf den interdisziplinären Wissenstransfer im druckgrafischen Bereich zwischen den Studierenden der Kunst und des Kommunikationsdesigns zu fördern. Zwischen dem 4. und 11.April 2022 findet das Kennenlerngespräch in Form eines Gruppenscreenings an zwei Auswahlterminen statt. Die genauen Termine werden Ihnen zeitnah mitgeteilt. Nach dem Screening zwischen "Lern-Fair - Die Plattform des Corona School e.V“ und dem/der Praktikant*in, wird ein Praktikumsvertrag aufgesetzt, der alle Rahmenbedingungen schriftlich festhält. Während des gesamten Praktikumszeitraums werden die absolvierten Stunden von den Studierenden in einem Zeiterfassungsdokument protokolliert, welches nach Abschluss des Praktikums vom Verein überprüft wird. Anschließend stellt "Lern-Fair - Die Plattform des Corona School e.V“ eine Praktikumsbescheinigung aus, sodass die Praxisphase im Modul angerechnet werden kann. Die Einsatzzeiten sprechen die Studierenden individuell mit "Lern-Fair - Die Plattform des Corona School e.V.“, den betreuten Schüler*innen und deren Erziehungsberechtigten ab. Es werden 80 Stunden in der Praxisphase absolviert, die mit 3 CP kreditiert werden. Das Begleitseminar wird mit einem Portfolio abgeschlossen und wird mit weiteren 3 CP kreditiert.
