Therefore, we need to learn how to use theories for examining an issue effectively as well as understand the characteristics of the theories. Understanding theories is a ticket to freedom of thought and creativity. In order to learn social theories, we will read English texts about some theories and discuss our views on them. We will examine how the theories address particular social issues, and how to apply the theories to analyze the issues. To make the reading of the texts as comfortable as possible, guiding questions to each of the texts will be provided.
