Prof. Dr. phil. Tibor Kiss- Score: 7.46 Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft,Linguistic Data Science Lab (LDSL),Research Modules, Research Module 1 You will start your first research project and learn more about exchanging ideas with your colleagues, presenting a concept and giving and handling constructive criticism about your project. For this, you have to find an advisor, agree on a topic and then work on your project. The project will run this and next semester, with the bigger workload this semester: finding your Research Project 1 with Colloquium topic, extracting data, and laying the foundation for your final with constant documentation of your work and a content plan for your resulting paper. During the semester you will participate in the weekly colloquium where everyone presents their research ideas and gives feedback on those of others. An important part will be how you develop your idea and present it – this presentation will be the foundation for your grade. The second basis of your grade will be the way your accept and give feedback for ideas presented. What to do for credit points Studienleistung: Conducting a first research project alone or in a group with up to four others. This entails finding an advisor, agreeing on a topic, conducting research and documenting the process. The final paper will be graded pass/fail. Pr

These papers may range from rather informal to formal studies. Students can earn credits by presenting a paper and will get detailed feedback. The seminar will continue to run over several semesters.
